About Michael Crawshaw
Michael Crawshaw grew up in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. He studied Chemistry at Manchester University and passed up the opportunity of a life exploding chemicals in favour of joining the so-called Big Bang.
He worked for several of the world’s leading investment banks and became an award-winning Head of Research. Supervising analysts covering a range of industries and countries he acquired expertise in global money flows, politics and business, and an ability to quickly understand new subjects. When he left finance, he found these skills ideally suited to writing fact-based fiction.
His first novel To Make a Killing was published in 2012 and his second, Cyber Wars – The Black Chamber, in 2019. Both feature the indomitable joker Mickey Summer whose big mouth means nothing he takes on is more than he can chew. Mickey returns in the final part of the trilogy, The Gerasimov Doctrine.
